Blackboard Collaborate
Blackboard Collaborate is a webinar/video conferencing system. The University of Miami has a site license, which includes events chaired/moderated by UM people, with non-UM people able to participate in any role.
There are two ways of accessing a Blackboard Collaborate event:
If you do not use Blackboard Learn and are setting up a major event for people not part of UM, the SAS.ELLUMINATE system is probably better to use.
- From within Blackboard Learn
- Outside of Blackboard Learn, through the SAS.ELUMMINATE system.

If you don't already have a Blackboard Collaborate meeting room, you will need to request one.
Check to see if your unit has a Departmental Contact listed on the Blackboard Collaborate Departmental Contacts list. Is so, contact that person to get a meeting room (session) created for you. If you would like us to generate a meeting room (session) for you, please fill out the request form at http://tinyurl.com/pkksmuy.
